Darwin Nunez’s move from Benfica to Liverpool is ‘done’, according to the latest reports from Portugal.

Journalist Pedro Sepulveda now claims the agreement is complete, with the player heading to Anfield Road, despite the interest from Manchester United in landing him as well.

It’s said Nunez is signing a five-year deal with Liverpool, where he’ll make €6m per season, and he has reportedly already told family and friends about his decision.

Now despite literally claiming the deal is ‘done’, Sepulveda points out that Liverpool are still waiting for a ‘yes’ from Benfica for the transfer to be completed.

As reported by the Portuguese media in the past few days, the Reds are set to pay the Eagles a total amount of €100m for the move.

That’s expected to be €80m up front plus €20m in bonuses, and the local press believes that Darwin’s wish of joining Jurgen Klopp at the Reds has been crucial for such a quick agreement with the Anfield Road side.
