According to Turkish website Futbol Arena, Trabzonspor have rejected a €10m offer from Liverpool for their goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

In the past week the Premier League side have been linked with a move for Besiktas midfielder Dorukhan Toköz, and now it’s reported the Merseyside club have another target from the Super Lig, this time with Cakir.

According to Futbol Arena, Liverpool scouts see Cakir as an ideal back up to Alisson Becker.

Trabzonspor’s 23 year old goalkeeper, who recently made his debut for the Turkish national team, was linked with a move to Liverpool earlier this year and today, Futbol Arena say Trabzonspor have turned down an offer from the English club.

It’s reported the Turkish club want to compete for the league title next season and they want to keep their best players, including Abdulkadir Omur and Yusuf Yazici.

Cakir made 25 appearances for Trabzonspor last season, keeping seven clean sheets.
