Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal with Manchester United for Jadon Sancho’s sale and want to replace the England international with Donyell Malen this summer.
Earlier reports from the Dutch press stated BVB are joined by Liverpool in chasing the PSV Eindhoven star.
The German club’s desire to secure the forward’s signature is again discussed by Eindhovens Dagblad.
According to the newspaper, Dortmund’s ‘official offer’ for the 22-year-old is ‘expected soon’, probably in the coming days, at the Eredivisie club.
BVB have been interested in the Netherlands international for months and the player’s current employer have valued him at €30m.
Although the Bundesliga side have had a long-standing interest in the attacker, PSV need to wait and see if any other candidate will come forward to sign Malen.
This is when Liverpool get a mention and the report states Jürgen Klopp’s side are ‘still on the fence’. The Reds, in theory, ‘can still come with a high bid’, as long as PSV and the player don’t have a total agreement with Dortmund.
Liverpool are in the picture, but ED’s report gives an indication that Borussia Dortmund are currently leading the race to sign Malen.
