Juventus would dearly like to sign one of Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland in the summer, as would the vast majority of big clubs, but it’s not thought they’ll have the finances for such an operation.

Tuttosport believe PSG and Real Madrid can battle it out at that level of the market, and others, including Juventus, will have to go for a second-tier option, although a very impressive one at that.

The Turin newspaper talk of an ‘auction’ next summer to sign Dusan Vlahovic, and they push Liverpool and Tottenham forward as being clubs in the same picture, with interest in the Fiorentina player.

Spurs have been linked repeatedly, with it thought their interest was related to a possible Harry Kane exit, yet Liverpool haven’t really been mentioned so much. Signing Vlahovic doesn’t look like a huge priority for Jurgen Klopp, although it’s possible he may be a player the club don’t want to miss out on… if he’s available for a reasonable fee.

The 21-year-old scored 21 goals in just over 3000 minutes last season, and has found the back of the net six times in seven matches so far in this campaign.

Tuttosport believe a lot will depend on what the player wants to do, and whether Fiorentina will accept a deal similar to the one which saw Federico Chiesa move to Juventus in October 2020.

The Chiesa transfer involved a two year loan with a compulsory purchase clause at the end of it.

Liverpool and other Premier League clubs (it’s worth keeping an eye out for Manchester City) may be able to structure a deal in a move attractive way.
