Liverpool sent a scout to the game between Vancouver Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders at the weekend, according to claims in the Canadian media. Liverpool were also seen at Whitecaps previous game with Colorado Rapids.

The Province have confirmed Liverpool scout, and former footballer, Andy O’Brien was present at the game on Sunday to see his former team loss 2-1 to the Sounders.

However, O’ Brien refused to comment on which players he was monitoring during the MLS clash, but it could be suggested he’s got his eye on somebody from the Whitecaps after his previous scouting trip to watch them against the Rapids four days earlier.

A player that is making a name for himself for the Whitecaps is attacker Alphonso Davies, who made his debut for the Canadian side this season at just 15-years-old.

Despite his age the youngster played the full ninety minutes for his side in the games against the Sounders, with claims Manchester United were present at the game to get a lowdown on the player.
