Liverpool continue to be linked with multiple central defenders despite getting through their current injury woes pretty well.

Virgil van Dijk is back training in the gym with the Premier League champions and there’s building optimism that the Dutchman is on his way back relatively quickly.

With the January transfer window now open it’s natural the Reds will be continually linked with options as they look to defend their title. In recent days, Gleison Bremer has been the man in the picture, and those claims continue in Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper report Liverpool are in the picture for the defender, and they state Jurgen Klopp has been pushing for his signing with the club’s owners. That’s a pretty big claim but it doesn’t feel like there’s anything especially concrete going on.

Torino would presumably like to get a decent fee for the 23-year-old, despite him being a regular for them in Serie A.

Everton have also been linked in recent months, and it’s felt like an effort to hype his value and encourage interest from elsewhere.
