Liverpool travel to Goodison on Monday for another important Merseyside derby. Chelsea have a fortunate run of fixtures coming up and if Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the pressure on then he needs a result against Everton.

Ronald Koeman’s men will be further enthused for the game after their 2-1 win over Arsenal on Tuesday night, with Ashley Williams playing a big part in Everton’s victory.

Everton themselves could do with a result if they’re to keep alive any dreams of qualifying for the Champions League this season. Koeman is still working to get his best side together and after starting slowly against Arsenal, things certainly improved toward the end of the match.

Ahead of the humdinger, SportBild asked Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann how he could describe the atmosphere for German football fans.

At Anfield, the derbies went a bit more civilised, but when we had to go to Everton, you were already feeling the hate from the stands in the tunnel.”

Current Liverpool player Emre Can was also asked, and he explained the atmosphere is “very heated”, and added that Jurgen Klopp has got Liverpool fans giving the team unconditional support.
