Liverpool are looking to sign a left back this summer, as Alberto Moreno is the only established left back in the squad.
Earlier, reports claimed Liverpool had already approached the representatives of Amavi over the possibility of signing him this summer.
Last night, Le Parisien‘s Florian Fieschi claimed on Twitter Liverpool remain interested in signing Amavi.
French website Get Football News France believe Liverpool will decide in the next 10 days if they want to sign Amavi.
Amavi is likely to leave Aston Villa, after their relegation to the Championship, whilst Liverpool don’t seem any closer to signing Jonas Hector or Ben Chilwell either.
Earlier, L’Equipe reported Amavi could cost around £11m, after Aston Villa signed him for £8.25m at the start of the season.
The 22-year-old suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which saw him miss most of last season, and couldn’t help his team avoid relegation.
Amavi is a very talented youngster, and has been very unlucky over the past year. He’ll be useful for whichever club he’s at next season.
