Ballo-Touré

Failing to sign Raphaël Guerreiro in the summer, with Dortmund welcoming the Portugal international, Jürgen Klopp has had to largely rely on James Milner at left-back this season, clearly still unable to trust Alberto Moreno .

With no new arrivals in January, it seems Liverpool fans will have to wait until next summer to see a new player in the position, and the German manager appears to already have someone in mind if Madein Foot in France are to be believed.

Alongside Merseyside rivals Everton, the Reds are said to be keen on bringing in Paris Saint-Germain’s Fodé Ballo-Touré, according to the website.

Ronald Koeman’s interest in the 20-year-old certainly isn’t a surprise either, considering Leighton Baines isn’t getting any younger, and Luke Garbutt’s eight appearances on loan at struggling Wigan suggests he doesn’t quite have the level for the top flight yet.

That isn’t to say that Fodé Ballo-Touré is blessed with experience either, considering the youngster is yet to make a first-team appearance for Paris Saint-Germain, which is rather understandable considering both Maxwell and Layvin Kurzawa stand in his way.

With his youth contract expiring in the summer, and the Ligue 1 champions unlikely to offer him a professional one, Ballo-Touré should be a cheap and talented option for either Liverpool or Everton should they so wish to approach him when the time comes.

The former France U16 has been a regular for his club in the Youth League, playing every minute of every game this season, and should be expected to be a part of the team that face RB Salzburg on the 21st of February.
