Sofyan Amrabat’s fine displays for Fiorentina and Morocco have seen seen him draw interest from a few clubs including Liverpool.

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso is blocking the 26-year-old leaving the Serie A side in the winter market.

That’s according to Firenze Viola, who state the chief wouldn’t want to sell his star amid interest from Liverpool. That doesn’t mean the midfielder can’t leave, but a potential deal is difficult to carry out in January.

It’s said the Reds and other clubs interested in the Morocco international must table an ‘off-market proposal’ to convince Commisso. The report mentions talk of a €40m fee excluding bonuses.

Liverpool’s interest in Amrabat is also discussed by TuttoMercatoWeb. They explain Jürgen Klopp ‘likes’ the player for his characteristics and dynamism.

It’s further explained the Merseyside club are ‘already evaluating a proposal’ in January. They don’t provide any insight about the offer Klopp’s side are planning to make for the midfielder in the upcoming window.

TMW add Paris Saint-Germain have joined Liverpool and others in the chase for Amrabat and that the Ligue 1 winners are ready to make an offer to Fiorentina.
