Leicester City have their eyes set on Fiorentina’s Nicolás González for the winter market, according to Sky Italia.

The Foxes are looking for an offensive player for the second half of this season and are now showing interest in the Serie A forward.

It’s explained Leicester have already made a ‘super offer’ of around £30m [€34m] to secure the Argentina international’s services in January.

The Italian club are ‘reflecting’ and will ‘evaluate’ the situation in the coming hours, deciding whether to accept the proposal made by Brendan Rodgers’ side or raise their demand for the 24-year-old.

If the Serie A side were to sell the South American to Leicester, they could look at the likes of Atalanta’s Jérémie Boga, Sampdoria’s Abdelhamid Sabiri and VfL Wolfsburg’s Josip Brekalo. These targets could be ‘hot again’ for Fiorentina with González’s potential sale.

Operating mainly on the right wing, González has scored five goals from 11 matches in all competitions this season. His appearances have been restricted due to multiple injuries, which also forced the player to miss the World Cup with Argentina.
