Leicester City are expected to make several changes in the summer, after their relegation from the Premier League.

With Dean Smith’s deal expiring on June 30th, the Foxes are likely to bring in a new manager and have identified Carl Hoefkens as a target.

That’s according to RTBF, who state Leicester have the 44-year-old’s name on their agenda. He’s been without a job since leaving Club Brugge last December.

The English club are looking for a coach who can help them return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Hoefkens could be an option as it’s stated Leicester are ‘very interested’ in appointing him as their new manager. In fact, the report states the Belgian has ‘already’ visited the Foxes’ facilities in May.

This report comes a day after journalist Sacha Tavolieri explained that both Leicester and Swansea City have ‘concretely approached’ Hoefkens. He also stated the manager would soon make a decision on his future.

RTBF now state Hoefkens can ‘answer in the next few weeks’, and Leicester City would likely want an answer sooner rather than later.
