So, after a bit of excitement regarding the possibility of Tetê moving from Lyon to Leeds, we now have Leicester City trying to hijack the deal.

This has been reported by a few outlets, including Foot Mercato, who bring their own information on the Foxes’ interest in the player.

It’s said that despite their Premier League rivals trying to acquire the Brazilian, Leicester ‘haven’t said their last word’ in the matter, and are continue to push to bring him to the King Power Stadium.

Not only that, but they ‘believe in their chances’ and are ‘even convinced’ that they can get him to sign on the dotted line before January 31st.

This comes amid a flurry of activity surrounding the Brazilian, who is currently on loan at the Ligue 1 side from Shakhtar Donetsk.

However, whoever does end up signing him will not have to pay a compensation fee to the French club, as they agreed that he could break his loan with them once he had found himself a new team.

Whether that next step is Leicester remains to be seen, but they are certainly giving it their all.
