Leicester City beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Saturday 4-2, but the scoreline could have looked even more favourably upon Claudio Ranieri’s men. A couple of late goals conceded, after Leicester had partly switched off, and Guardiola’s side didn’t quite get the battering that the performance perhaps deserved.
Vardy and Leicester have found it too hard to live up to last season’s standards but the England international’s hat-trick has seen him included in Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week.
