According to reports in the Swedish media AIK are showing an interest in Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson. The Swede only joined the Championship side from Kalmar last summer, but has struggled to hold a place down in Garry Monk’s starting eleven.
24Kalmar have claimed AIK could look to take advantage of Antonsson’s situation at Leeds United and target the 26-year-old in the summer. The Swedish league only started a few weeks ago, but AIK are already looking to bring in new players as they continue to pursue leaders Malmo.
Antonsson recently stated to the Swedish press that there were clubs from his home country showing an interest in him, but he remained focused on Leeds United. The forward played just a handful of games for Garry Monk last season despite a steady start in England.
The player has a desire to make his time at Leeds United a success, but it’s likely he will have a decision to make in the summer on his future.
