Tottenham forward Richarlison wants to move to Saudi Arabia this summer to recoup money lost to a former representative.
That’s according to journalist Jorge Nicola, via Nosso Palmeiras, who reports that Richarlison wants to earn extra money for a big move to the Middle East.
The forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer after another frustrating year in which he’s barely played due to injuries.
Several sides in Brazil are believed to be interested in him, although that move would be difficult for them on a financial basis, while even a return to his former club Everton has been mooted.
However, a report this week stated that two big offers from Saudi Arabia were on the way, with Nicola saying two unnamed clubs in the country were ready to make a move.
He insisted a return to Brazil could be ruled out at this moment in time for the Tottenham man.
He’s now explained why that is the case, detailing how Richarlison is eyeing up a move for money thanks to an incident with his former agent Renato Velasco.
“Richarlison understands that he needs to recover lost money,” he is quoted as saying.
According to a friend, at least R$10m went up in smoke due to the old relationship with his agent, Renato Velasco. The fight between the two turned into a legal case.
“Velasco (was) trying to get a millionaire compensation of R$18m and Richarlison (was) telling people close to him that Renato, who had access to his bank accounts, made around R$10m evaporate from his account.”
