Claims are growing in the Netherlands that Leeds United’s Vurnon Anita is in the country and very close to signing for Willem II.
Earlier on Thursday we covered a claim from NOS that Anita is on the verge of signing for the Dutch club, and returning to play in the Eredivisie.
NOS were absolutely sure, it certainly wasn’t presented as a rumour.
Should that go to plan, and there’s no expectation of anything going wrong with the tests, then it’s claimed Anita will be presented as a Willem player on Thursday afternoon.
Despite the number of reports and all major Netherlands sport outlets covering the transfer, there’s no clarity on the basis of the deal and whether it’s a loan move or a permanent transfer away from Elland Road.
