On Tuesday, we carried a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, who explained AC Milan will face competition from Leeds United to sign Charles De Ketelaere this summer.

It was also stated the Serie A winners have made an offer of €20m plus bonuses to Club Brugge for the versatile forward.

Despite submitting the offer, the 21-year-old moves away from Stefano Pioli’s side. That’s according to Sky Italia, who state Milan’s proposal was rejected by the Jupiler Pro League winners.

Club Brugge are asking for a higher fee for the Belgium international. They are aware of ‘strong interest’ from the Premier League, where Leeds are his suitor. The Whites would have offered €37m plus bonuses for the player.

Another report from Gianluca Di Marzio explains Jesse Marsch’s side seem to have made an offer in excess of €30m plus bonuses for De Ketelaere.

Sky Italia add it would be ‘very difficult’ for Milan to match the proposal made by Leeds, even if the player prefers to make a switch to the San Siro over Elland Road.

De Ketelaere scored 18 goals and registered 10 assists from 49 matches last season for Club Brugge.
