Fanatik report Leeds United are in the picture to sign Jason Denayer from Manchester City but the player is only willing to sign for Galatasaray if he leaves the Premier League champions.

Galatasaray are looking to loan Denayer again for another season after the Belgian defender won the Turkish League title with the Turkish club. This also means they will be competing the group stages of the Champions League in the next campaign.

Despite Denayer reportedly drawing attention from Leeds United, the final decision will be made by the player himself to which club he joins.

The Galatasaray board are said to be following the situation very closely as they’re hoping they can get Denayer on a loan deal when the English transfer window closes next Thursday. Turkey’s window will remain open until the end of August.

Leeds United’s interest in the Belgium international can be questioned and it seems the Turkish media have got ahead of themselves from rumour spreading in the English media.

Pep Guardiola is an admirer of Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa, but the Spaniard is unlikely to let Denayer drop down a league if loaned out.

The Manchester City boss even had reservations sending him to Galatasaray in his first season at the Etihad and instead loaned him to Sunderland in order to keep the player in the Premier League.
