PAOK forward Aleksandar Prijovic has told the Swedish media he’s recently had offers from other clubs, but decided to stay with the Greek side.

The former Djurgården player was linked with Leeds United in the last transfer window.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Prijovic was asked why he took the decision to extend his contract with PAOK despite interest from other clubs: “I am very happy to play at PAOK. There were a lot of offers and everything was pretty unclear, but from day one I’ve been happy here and I’m glad to continue here. We have unfinished business.”

Prijovic recently signed a four year deal with PAOK despite the attentions from other clubs, including Leeds United.

The Championship side were looking to bolster their attacking options in January, and the Serbian international was a forward they were looking at.

It’s expected Leeds United will bring in a centre forward this summer due to the uncertainty over the future of Pierre-Michel Lasogga, and they’ve been linked with other attackers ahead of the next window.

The English side are said to be lining up a deal for Carpi forward Jerry Mbakogu, after initial talks with the Italian club earlier this year.
