According to a claim in the Italian media, Leeds United and Fulham are showing an interest in Foggia forward Francesco Paolo Clemente.
The young striker has been impressing for Foggia’s U16s which has brought him to the attention of the two English clubs.
TMW today report Leeds United and Fulham both sent a scout to Foggia’s game against AS Roma to get a lowdown on the young forward. Clemente scored a great goal in his side’s 3-2 victory and also won a penalty for Foggia.
The Italian prospect will obviously be seen as one for the future by both Leeds United and Fulham, so if he was brought over to England then he would be placed in their youth academies.
There are no reports if either side will watch the youngster again but given his performance on Sunday, there’s a reasonable possibility Leeds United or Fulham will follow up in their interest in the attacker.
This is a new name on the agenda of both clubs and one likely to see more reports from Italy in the future.
