Leeds United have become the latest Premier League side to be credited with interest in Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

On Wednesday, reports coming out of Spain stated Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Leicester City as the 22-year-old suitors.

Leeds are also in the mix to sign the stopper in the summer, if a report from Fichajes.net is to be believed.

The Georgia international has conceded 36 goals and kept seven clean sheets from 31 games this season and has become one of the ‘great stars’ at the La Liga side.

He’ll have an opportunity to make a switch to the Premier League in the summer. This is when the Whites get a mention as it’s said Javi Gracia’s side ‘think about signing’ the goalkeeper, who has a contract until 2027.

After Mamardashvili aroused interest from England, Los Ches could take advantage to ‘make an important cash’ through his sale. It’s said Valencia are thinking about earning more than €40m from the Georgian’s transfer.

Illan Meslier is currently the first-choice goalkeeper at Leeds and is likely to maintain the role next season, if he stays at Elland Road.

Mamardashvili could be a replacement should the Frenchman leave.
