Leeds United are reportedly one of the many clubs interested in AS Monaco goalkeeper Lisandru Olmeta.

That’s revealed by French outlet Foot Mercato, who feature a story about the player’s uncertain future at the Ligue 1 club.

Olmeta’s contract with Monaco only runs until the end of the season, and as he’s still to understand the plans the club have for him. There’s the chance the 17-year-old could walk away for free.

Leeds United are one of those who’d like to sign him. According to Foot Mercato, the Whites ‘in particular’ follow the player’s situation as they ‘did not miss a single minute’ of his performances in the Premier League International Cup last year.

The battle for his signing is expected to be pretty big, though. Because besides interest from Rennes and Manchester City, there’s also the attention from Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham, who all followed him in his exhibitions against the Gunners and Red Devils in that competition.

Olmeta’s future is apparently in his hands, and in case Leeds place an attractive offer to sign him, they could have an interesting successor for Illan Meslier.
