The agent of OFK forward Saman Ghoddos has confirmed to the Swedish media Celta Vigo have made an offer for his client.

The Iran international was linked with a move to Queens Parks Ranges in the last window, after the Championship side tabled a bid for the player.

Speaking to Fotboll Direkt, Nenad Lukic was asked about OFK chairman Daniel Kindberg rejecting a £4.5m bid from the Spanish side: “I think he’s a crazy person. He gets a bid of 50 million Krona, then he has to sell.”

We covered reports from Sweden last summer that QPR had tabled an offer of £1.9m for Ghoddos, which was rejected by OFK.

At the time, the OFK hierarchy said if the right bid came in for the forward they would have considered selling him, but QPR didn’t return.

However, If QPR are to revive their interest in Ghoddos in the summer, when the forward is likely to be sold by OFK they may find if difficult to compete financially with Celta Vigo.

The player’s performances in the Europa League this season have increased his value, and a move to a major top-flight league looks to be on the cards.
