Even though reports from Spain this morning said Pedro would leave Chelsea to join Roma, there are La Liga sides who still dream of his signing.

Outlet El Desmarque brings a pretty partial take about the situation, saying Valencia are still alive in the race for the 32-year-old.

They first mention a report from Onda Cero which says Pedro fits the profile wanted by the Mestalla side. He’s one of the players who can fit in several positions and would arrive for free.

But according to El Desmarque’s own information, the signing becomes a lot more complicated when we take a look at the winger’s salary.

It’s said the Spaniard currently makes €100k/week at Chelsea, something around €6m per season, and that’s an amount Valencia have no chance of affording, despite the La Liga side  being ‘attentive’ to the situation.

Perhaps they’re hoping talks with Roma, which are reported to be in advanced stages, break down, but as things stand, it looks like Pedro could be heading towards a new adventure in Italy rather than returning to his home country at a club that isn’t Barcelona.
