Gareth Bale’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur has been controversial enough to have several headlines circling around the European media in the past few days.

With José Mourinho dismissing the player’s latest Instagram post for being ‘misleading’, as he’s not as fit as he claimed to be, the manager shows his dissatisfaction with the Welsh star.

Now it’s the Spanish press who comes up with strong claims, saying that the manager has been speaking to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about the 31-year-old.

According to Defensa Central, José Mourinho has told his ‘good friend’ that he’s ‘fed up’ with Gareth Bale at Tottenham. It’s claimed the manager ‘regrets’ the signing since the winger isn’t ‘half the player he was before’.

Defensa Central says Mourinho claims to now understand everything Zinedine Zidane went through with Bale at Real Madrid.

Despite all the strong words from the Special One, the report claims that the Portuguese manager didn’t reveal his stance on the player’s future, even now it looks unlikely that he’ll be staying at Tottenham after the end of the loan spell, which expires in the summer.

Since rejoining Spurs last year, Gareth Bale has four goals in 15 appearances for the club, missing several Premier League matches.
