Leeds United star Raphinha is featured today in an interview with AS.

There are two reasons why the Argentine media wanted to speak to the 24-year-old this week. First because they’re playing Brazil tonight in the World Cup Qualifiers tonight, and also because the winger has now been managed by Marcelo Bielsa for over one year.

So besides the questions about the national team, Raphinha talked about his relationship with the Leeds United boss and what it means to him to be coached by the South American legend.

“From my first days at the club, I already saw how special Bielsa was,” Raphinha told AS.

“He’s a guy who works a lot, who knows a lot about football. He’s the typical professional who dedicates 100% of his time to the institution that he represents and we are very lucky that he’s our coach. He knows how to get the most out of each one of us. This makes us raise our level.”

The last question of the interview was if Raphinha wishes to play the Champions League in the near future.

That could be a clue about him leaving Leeds for one of the Premier League’s top clubs, but the Brazilian made sure to show his loyalty to the Whites in his answer.

“Of course. I’m very happy at Leeds and hopefully we can play the Champions League.”

Raphinha has been linked to several clubs for the past few months, especially after his great first few games for the national team.

In a recent interview with the Brazilian media, even agent Deco revealed that Liverpool ‘like’ the player.
