On Wednesday, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg stated Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek’s loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt will be made official this week.

He also stated the 26-year-old has already completed his medical tests with the German club and only a ‘few small details’ are missing for the deal to be made official.

Later that day, the Bundesliga side sealed a 2-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach, and after the tie, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche was asked about the possible arrival of the Manchester United player.

“I am very confident that Donny will be with us for the next six months,” he said, relayed by Kicker.

Last weekend, Bild stated Van de Beek’s loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt will also include a purchase option set at ‘just under €10m’. The transfer could help the Dutchman enjoy regular minutes, which he hasn’t managed to achieve at Manchester United.

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Sebastian Rode has been sidelined with a calf injury since September. In addition to this, Farès Chaïbi and Ellyes Skhiri will be representing Algeria and Tunisia respectively at the upcoming AFCON.

The director says the Manchester United midfielder’s arrival would help Eintracht Frankfurt in the second half of this season.

“We still need quality, also across the board. We need experience, we are a very young team. Donny can certainly help us with that,” Krösche explained.
