Benjamin Siegrist is of interest to Celtic and Ipswich Town, report Swiss newspaper Blick, as they take a look at where the Dundee United player will end up next season.

At 29-years-of-age, the goalkeeper has a year left on his current contract with Dundee United, so it’s the right time for him to take Celtic interest seriously.

Blick explain Siegrist feels at home and likes living in the Dundee area, but he certainly hints that a transfer is possible this summer: “I don’t want to force a change, but I am already aiming for the next step in my career.”

Specifically quizzed about Celtic interest, and claims the Glasgow club could offer Dundee United something like £400k to £1m in the coming window, the stopper said: “If there is interest, I’ll take a close look.”

The same is said to apply for Ipswich Town, and it would appear clear Siegrist is considering his future right now, after claims earlier this year he’d leave it all in the hands of his representatives.

Given his contract situation, those agents should be able to negotiate either a transfer or a good renewal.
