With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly heading to the blue side of London, Tottenham are left as one of the only clubs without a real manager in the Premier League.
Some have appointed stopgaps until the end of the season, but even when Spurs did that, it didn’t work out, as they recently sacked Cristian Stellini after they lost 6-1 to Newcastle.
That’s why the future of Arne Slot is constantly discussed in the Netherlands, as ESPN’s podcast Voetbalpraat, relayed by FR-Fans, brought the latest stance on the matter.
This came courtesy of journalist Kenneth Pérez, who talked about the future of Feyenoord, which includes that of their manager and their players.
Should a team like Spurs come forward, the belief is that he will go, although some are more reluctant to admit it.
Pérez isn’t one of those, however, and while he doesn’t name Tottenham, it’s clear who he means when he said: “I think he will leave, if a good club comes, he will go.”
Slot has also been linked with Crystal Palace and Leeds United, should the latter decide to move on from Javi Gracia despite staying up in the Premier League, but it seems that Tottenham would have the better chance to lure Slot away, as they are expected to have some sort of European football on offer come the end of the season.
