Aside from the 4-3 scoreline and the great match on display for neutrals, the Manchester United win over Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals will also be remembered by Jürgen Klopp storming out of an interview with a Viaplay journalist after the game.

Niels Christian Frederiksen, the man who seemingly rubbed the Liverpool manager the wrong way, has no issues with how the whole moment went down, revealing the German even punched the microphone away after the cameras was turned off.

Clips of the interview went viral very quickly, and reached some of the players, such as Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen, who was asked about the moment in his home country, with Tipsbladet relaying the quotes.

The midfielder said: “I laughed a little at that. I happened to meet Per Frimann, who is his colleague on the plane on the way home. I know that Rasmus Højlund sat the whole flight home with Niels Christian so I think they had some good conversations.

“It’s journalism, and what they ask is not something you have anything to do with, but Klopp was obviously tired and annoyed after they had lost.”

Eriksen has been called up by Denmark for the current international break despite his lack of game time at Manchester United these days.

It will be a good opportunity for the midfielder to get some minutes under his belt, even if the 32-year-old was an important part of the win against Liverpool, coming on 10 minutes before extra time and playing extremely deep as his team tried to find a win.

They eventually found it through a great counterattack involving Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo, with the latter finding the bottom corner of Caiomhín Kelleher’s goal in the 121st minute.
