Feyenoord manager Arne Slot has refused to confirm striker Danilo is joining Michael Beale at Rangers this summer, but believes they are getting a good fee for him.

1908.nl cover quotes from the Feyenoord manager today as reports in the Netherlands and Scotland insist Danilo is closing in on a move to Ibrox.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to Rangers over the last few weeks as Gers boss Michael Beale looks to bolster his forward line.

He already has Fashion Sakala, Cyriel Dessers, Kemar Roofe and Sam Lammers at his disposal but seemingly wants more after Antonio Colak and Alfredo Morelos departed Ibrox this summer.

Danilo appears to be the one they want, having caught the eye in the Netherlands last season with 14 goals and four assists in 48 games in all competitions.

A move has been progressing over the last few days and it was claimed yesterday he was set to fly to Glasgow in the coming days to complete his move and join Michael Beale’s squad.

Slot has refused to confirm that Rangers will be Danilo’s next destination, but admitted he was set to move on sooner rather than later.

“I think we got a good transfer fee from him,” he said.

“It is a player who played less and less in the second half of the season and then it is always a consideration whether a player is willing to continue in that role for another six months or a year. can, or does he have difficulty with it.

“I cannot confirm whether it is that club [Rangers]. It is an interesting opportunity for him, and we must therefore consider whether it is interesting for us.

“That is only interesting if we believe that there is a transfer fee that does justice to his qualities, because his contribution to the championship last year was very big.”
