Following the Championship title and promotion to the Premier League, it’s time for Burnley to actually start planning their squad for next season.

One of the undefined situations in the team is Jordan Beyer, who was loaned from Borussia Mönchengladbach at the start of the season, and can be bought by the Clarets in case a €15m purchase option is triggered.

German outlet Bild writes about that situation today. They say that even though it’s still ‘unclear’ whether the 22-year-old is staying at Burnley, this decision could actually be made ‘very quickly’.

It’s claimed he would be a great purchase for the Clarets, who ‘boosted’ Beyer’s career and, in Vincent Kompany, have a ‘supporter’ of the player.

However, Bild also bring some information which could be negative for Burnley, claiming that the defender himself has not yet decided whether he’d like to be at Borussia Mönchengladbach or at Turf Moor next season. It’s said his heart still ‘beats’ for the Bundesliga side, even though he wasn’t getting any playing time there.

The outlet claims Beyer’s move to Burnley will possibly ‘be announced soon’, but there may be an obstacle in the road.
