On Tuesday, we covered how Everton were reportedly still among those interested in Becão, currently enjoying himself at Udinese.
The Brazilian defender was a target for the Toffees over the summer, and it was said they had put forward the most insistent courtship to acquire his services.
That never came to fruition, since Everton didn’t sign him, but with Yerry Mina gently being nudged away from Goodison Park, the idea of a Becão transfer could return to the fore.
His contract situation, which currently expires in 2024, could help potential suitors, which could also include Inter if they lose Milan Skriniar in the coming months.
The Slovakian star’s deal at San Siro runs out in June of next year, meaning that he could be sold in January if he doesn’t renew.
This would leave Inter needing a replacement, and Gazzetta dello Sport look at the potential deal.
They described Becão as a ‘three-man defence specialist’, who currently has an ‘inviting contractual condition’.
This could therefore lead the Pozzo family to all for a lower price ‘compared to the usual exorbitant prices’, but it is also made clear it’s ‘hard to think about a change of jersey during the current season’, meaning that ‘the plot can take shape for the July session’.
In turn, this also applies to Everton, who would have to wait until next summer if they decide they want to sign Becão.
