FutbolArena have reported Osmanlıspor look set to sign French striker Emmanuel Riviere from Newcastle United.

Osmanlıspor manager Bulent Uygun is reportedly keen on the player and the Turkish website have claimed negotiations have ended successfully between the two clubs, with Riviere expected to be confirmed as a Osmanlıspor player soon.

FutbolArena say talks have reached a ‘happy ending’, but add that details of the transfer agreement ‘are private’.

The Turkish club are looking to sign a striker after the exit of Pierre Webo and they are now hoping they can fill this void by bringing in Riviere from Newcastle United.

The 27 year old French striker spent last season on loan at La Liga side Osasuna, but failed to score in 17 games for the Spanish club.

Signed from Monaco during Alan Pardew’s reign, the French striker has been unable to hold down a regular place at St James Park and, given he’s out of Rafael Benitez’s plans, an exit from Newcastle United now seems very likely.

The striker had previous spells at the clubs like Saint Etienne and Toulouse, and has one year left on his Newcastle United contract.
