Following the announcement of the signing of Jadon Sancho, Manchester United fans turned their attentions to the club’s next big target, which according to the latest reports, is Raphael Varane.

Reports from Spain have been claiming that the Red Devils are making a strong effort to sign the Real Madrid defender despite the La Liga side expected to make big demands for his transfer.

Well, it turns out that in case the Old Trafford side miss out on Varane, they could be going for another Frenchman instead, according to reports today.

Outlet ABC features a story on the future of Sevilla defender Jules Koundé.

They write he’s likely to leave the club this summer, as the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in him.

In the Red Devils’ case, it’s said their priority is indeed to sign Raphael Varane, but Kounde shows up as a ‘great option’, as the club have received very good reports on his performances.

The report doesn’t say how much Sevilla would demand for the player, although this little auction could undoubtedly help them get a fair price for him,

And with Real Madrid also in the race for Kounde, there’s of course the chance of a domino effect in case they accept Manchester United’s offer for Varane.
