From France: PSG have agreement with Manchester United Women midfielder

The French media today reveals that Paris Saint Germain are working on the signing of Manchester United midfielder Jackie Groenen.

Outlet RMC Sport writes that the Parisian side already have an agreement with the 27-year-old, who’s said to be keen on making the switch.

The problem, however, is that Manchester United ‘don’t seem to be willing to give up’ the player, and are playing hard ball for her release.

RMC Sport points out the ‘significant reinforcement’ Groenen would be for PSG, as they’re in need of improving their midfield for this season. It’s claimed the French club actually want to ‘close the file very quickly’, so it seems the talks are set to intensify in the coming days.

The Dutch player arrived at Manchester United in the summer of 2019, having won the Women’s Super League and the FA Women’s Cup for the club.

There is, however, only one year left on her contract. So the Red Devils may find themselves in that old situation where they have to make a decision whether to sell her now or risk losing her for free next year, given her wish for the move.
