Turkish TV Channel A Spor report Fenerbahce’s recently appointed sporting director Damien Comolli is hoping to sign Queens Park Rangers midfielder Luke Freeman for the Turkish giants.

A Spor say Comolli and new Fenerbahce president Ali Y. Koc are looking to build a team that will participate in the next season’s Champions League and Freeman is seen as an option.

The 26 year old has enjoyed a decent season with QPR and the former Tottenham Hotspur sporting director is hoping to sign him for Fenerbahce on a loan deal this summer.

Freeman joined QPR in the 2017 winter transfer window and has gone on to become one of the key players in the current Hoops team.

The 26 year old midfielder played 45 league games for QPR last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 12 assists. He’s under contract with the West London club until 2020.

For reasons we’re not entirely sure of, the Turkish media often think it’s far easier to loan Championship players than it probably is.
