With the signing of Leeds United star Raphinha becoming one of the main transfer rumours ahead of Barcelona’s transfer window, the move now has the backing of someone very important at the Catalan side.

Speaking at the presentation of the brand new MetaSoccer, Brazilian legend Ronaldo claimed he’d like to see the Whites’ star playing for the Camp Nou side in the next season.

“I would very much like him to come, he has a lot of quality, he would fit in very well with Spanish football due to his playing characteristics,” said Ronaldinho (via Marca).

He did, however, point out he hadn’t ‘spoken about it with him’ to date.

Both born in the city of Porto Alegre, Leeds’ Raphinha and Ronaldinho have had a close relationship for years, and the Barcelona idol is now eager to have his friend playing for his former club.

According to reports from Brazil, Raphinha’s agent Deco is currently in Barcelona to sort the transfer details in person.

UOL claims that the official landed in Europe at the weekend and is now following the developments in the talks between Barça and Leeds.

While Barcelona prepare to submit an official offer for the winger, the Whites are said to be demanding at least £40m to start talks for his sale.
