Back on Monday, Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã came up with a story claiming that Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Gonçalo Guedes was spotted on a night out in Lisbon at nearly 3am.

Spending this season at Benfica, he was seen with friends at the exit of a bar and restaurant, and the original story wasn’t clear whether this was a bad thing or not.

It turns out that newspaper Record now shows up with a story on Guedes’ small party, and they actually come out in his defence.

The outlet writes that the Wolves’ loanee didn’t break any rules, as that was the night before his day off.

It’s recalled that Guedes has already made an appearance following the recovery from his knee injury, and is expected to start in the match against Lusitânia on Friday.

That’s great news for the forward, who’s been struggling with his physical condition for a while and wants to prove himself at Benfica as soon as possible.

A good season with the Eagles should also help Wolves get interesting offers for his sale next year.
