Liverpool’s interest in Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners is again being highlighted by the Italian media.
The freshest story on this pursuit comes from TuttoAtalanta, who explain the little battle which is building for the 26-year-old.
It’s once again claimed that Juventus are in pole position for the signing, as their bid for the transfer could arrive soon.
However, Liverpool are labelled as a ‘serious threat’ in the chase, as they already got in touch about the move before and could now ‘intensify their interest’.
According to the report, Koopmeiner’s agent Bart Baving will arrive in Italy next week, and is expected to have discussions about the player’s future.
The good news for the interested sides is that despite Atalanta’s initial €60m request for the sale, something between €45m and €50m could be enough to land him.
The bad slant for Liverpool is that Koopmeiners is set to choose Juventus in case the two offers are equivalent, but then the Italian media almost always claim similar and often proven wrong by words from players themselves.
