Despite the many Premier League players who are now part of the Colombian national team, it’s a Watford youngster who seems to be drawing huge excitement from the local media.

Following Nestor Lorenzo’s latest call up, outlet Marca featured a story talking about the footballers from English clubs in the list.

Those are Davinson Sanchez, Jefferson Lerma, Luis Sinisterra, Oscar Estupinan and Yaser Asprilla, not to mention Yerry Mina, who’s only out because of injury.

So beside speaking of players who have a secure spot in the team, they also highlight the youngsters, and that’s where the Watford midfielder comes up.

Marca writes that Asprilla is the ‘sensation of this new generation’ that ‘generates the most enthusiasm’.

They highlight that following the move to Vicarage road this summer, he’s already managing to get regular playing time in England, and that’s ‘more than considerable for the expectations’ around the 18-year-old.

Asprilla only has eight appearances for Watford, with no goals scored, but the potential shown at the Championship side is making him a little star at the national team.
