The Premier League transfer window may be closed until January, but that doesn’t mean clubs don’t have scouts hard at work all around the world.

That’s part and parcel of the business these days, with Premier League clubs boasting huge scouting budgets and traipsing across the world to find talent.

Portugal is a popular destination for English scouts, and with Porto vs Krasnodar this week, A Bola are reporting several Premier League clubs had spies in attendance, among which were Everton and Watford.

There’s no suggestion from the newspaper the scouts were there to watch any specific player, but there are some who they may have an interest in.

Moussa Marega’s 21 goals last season earned him plenty of interest and Everton have been linked throughout the summer.

Indeed, we covered a report towards the end of May that suggested they were still keen, although they’ve signed Moise Kean since then.

Danilo Pereira is another they may have been looking at, the Portuguese midfielder has been linked with a move to England in the past and both clubs would certainly welcome him in their midfield.

The game was also attended by scouts from Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Leicester City, Bournemouth, Southampton, Watford, Milan, Atalanta, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Saint Etienne, Montpellier, Rennes and Olympiacos.
