On Monday, reports in Germany said Everton have made an attempt to sign Union Berlin’s Sheraldo Becker.

Sky Deutschland state the Toffees are interested in the forward and would like to ‘lure’ him to the Premier League before the window closes on Tuesday.

It’s unclear if Everton will be successful since the German club are blocking his transfer.

Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg says the Merseyside club asked about the 27-year-old to replace Anthony Gordon, who moved to Newcastle United. Despite Union Berlin refusing to let him leave, it’s not ruled that Everton could make an official offer on Tuesday.

The journalist further adds the Suriname international would be open to making a switch to the Premier League.

Plettenberg took to Twitter again to explain Becker is the one to watch out on deadline day as ‘there’s movement’ expected in this case. That is because Everton are considering making an ‘official offer’ on Tuesday.

Sean Dyche’s side may face competition from West Ham United as they have also asked about Becker, who has eight goals and six assists from 26 matches this season.
