The Braziilian press still holds some little hope that we’ll see Everton Cebolinha playing for Everton at some point.
The Grêmio winger is back being a hot topic in the transfer market, since Napoli are said to be in a serious chase for him.
Outlet Globo Esporte writes today that the Italian side have made a €25m bid for the player. Even though it’s denied by the Brazilian club’s board, the website insists they’ve learned it from their sources.
Grêmio president Romildo Bolzan Junior has already claimed they’d turn down offers of that amount, since they intend to make €40m with his sale.
That’s where other clubs come into the picture. Globo Esporte says the Coronavirus crisis is making it difficult for some European sides to have clear plans about the transfer market.
It’s said Everton have shown interest in the signing, with manager Carlo Ancelotti even calling the player to pitch the idea. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested. But these clubs should only move when the dates for the transfer window are set.
Gremio are very likely to sell Everton Cebolinha this summer, so European sides should hurry, otherwise Napoli could win this race without much competition.
