Everton have not made an offer for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, despite claims that Carlo Ancelotti is keen on the Croatian.

That’s according to FC Inter News, who say links to the Toffees are unfounded despite claims in England to the contrary.

Everton are expected to be busy on deadline day after several departures, chiefly Cenk Tosun, left Carlo Ancelotti short of numbers.

So far they have not made any moves but reports in England had linked them to Perisic, who would add much-needed competition out wide, particularly if Bernard completes a move to Al-Nasr.

Those same reports indicated that Hertha Berlin are also keen and FC Inter News say, while that is true, the Everton part is not.

They explain that the German club are the only ones to have ‘really knocked on the door’ for Perisic, with them offering a loan until June with a right to buy valued at €10m added on.

Perisic, though, refused the offer, preferring to stay in Milan until June and assessing his options at that point.

He won’t be joining Hertha, then, nor will he be going to Everton or Borussia Dortmund, who have never officially moved for him anyway.
