David Neres’ impressive performance for Ajax last season has not only seen him receive his first call-up for Brazil in March, but also draw attention from other clubs.

One of the clubs interested in the 22-year-old is Everton. Tutto Mercato Web claim the Toffees are on ‘pole’ for Neres.

The winger still has three more years left on his contract with the Eredivisie winners, but he could leave his current employer in the ongoing window.

Ajax had contacts with the South American’s entourage and it’s believed the two parties are heading towards a farewell.

It’s claimed there is ‘strong pressing’ from Marco Silva’s side for Neres.

Ajax are demanding €60m for Neres, but TMW states the deal can be closed for €50m.

The Dutch club’s sporting director, Marc Overmars is in contact with Neres’ agent to define the player’s future, and if the Brazilian leaves Ajax plan to replace him with PSV Eindhoven’s Steven Bergwijn.
