Everton will need ‘more than €30m’ to sign El Bilal Touré from Almería this summer, with the Spanish side hoping to take advantage of the ‘tug of war’ for the striker.

That’s according to AS, who cover the ‘soap opera’ around the player and the different teams believed to be keen on him.

Everton are among them, with various reports in Spain and England identifying them as suitors as they look to bolster their forward line for Sean Dyche this summer.

One in England yesterday claimed that Everton had raised their bid for him to €30m but this is yet to be confirmed in Spain, where they have insisted Almería were calm about the situation.

AS pick up on that and say the Spanish side are in ‘no rush’ to sell El Bilal Touré as they believe they are in a ‘dominant position’ thanks to the number of clubs interested in him.

They know that a tug of war for the striker is developing between Everton and other suitors and as a result, he will be sold for ‘more than €30m’.

They’re eyeing a new club record and to exceed the €34m they received for Darwin Núñez when he joined Benfica in 2020 but there is an acceptance nobody is going to match the player’s €40m release clause.

Whether it is Everton who win the battle remains to be seen but Almería are calm about the situation and not yet to rush into any sale this summer.
