Juventus have Everton striker Moise Kean ‘on the agenda’, and the youngster is keen on the return to his former club.
That’s what Gazzetta Dello Sport report today, adding the latest in what is likely to become a small transfer drama in the final few weeks of the window.
Kean has been heavily linked with a return to the Serie A champions this summer after a disappointing first season in England last year.
Juve are keen to have him back, with new manager Andrea Pirlo desperate to add to his forward line to help get Cristiano Ronaldo firing.
They view Kean as the perfect back up option and would prefer him on loan but reports in Italy have stated Everton aren’t all that keen on that option.
The story has changed over the last week, though, with several suggestions from Italy that Everton’s stance may be softening and they would contemplate a loan deal to help Kean rediscover his form and confidence in Italy.
That is very much the stance Gazzetta take today, stating that any return to Juventus would be ‘on loan with a redemption obligation’ and that payment coming in two years.
The price of that purchase clause isn’t mentioned, but it’s safe to assume Everton would like to ensure they at least make their money back on the striker.
Their feelings on this potential deal isn’t mentioned, though, with this seeming very much like the deal Juventus want as opposed to what Everton would sanction.
Either way, Kean ‘likes the idea of a comeback’ and Gazzetta even state that ‘dialogues and negotiations’ are ‘in sight’, adding that there’s ‘time for everything’.
That would suggest Juventus aren’t in a rush to get in touch with Everton and open negotiations, backing earlier claims that this is a deal to keep an eye on at the end of the window.
