Everton’s Yerry Mina is an option for AS Roma if they struggle to get a deal for Evan N’Dicka over the line.
That’s according to Calcio Dangolo, who cover Roma’s search for a defender today and throw Mina’s name into the mix.
They explain that a centre-back is a priority for the club in the January transfer window and they want a player who can cover a couple of positions.
Roma have several names on their list but are focusing on potential cheap options, or players who will be free next summer and therefore potentially moving for a low cost in January.
Should negotiations for him ‘become complicated’ there are other names that could suit Jose Mourinho, and Everton’s Yerry Mina is one of them.
The 28-year-old is set to be free agent in the summer as Everton ‘have no intention’ renewing his contract.
He’s only played 70 minutes this season and wants ‘a change of scenery’ so he can play more continuously somewhere else.
Calcio Dangolo suggest he could potentially ‘find the right spirit’ under Mourinho to get things back on track and he is a name the Italian side are looking at.
A January move would need Everton to comply, but they’d be more than willing to do so as Mina isn’t in their plans, and it’d be better to get something for him in January than nothing in the summer.
At the minute he is just an option being looked at, but Roma are planning ahead, and he is a name to keep an eye on.
